The Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Recycling District, in partnership with the Stark, Tuscarawas, and Wayne County Sheriff’s Departments have formed an environmental taskforce aimed at reducing illegal dumping and fostering cooperative relationships with local police departments to better serve the residents of our District.
How it works?
The Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Recycling District funds one Sheriff Deputy in all 3 counties in our District. Through this partnership, these deputies are committed to assisting the District in fighting illegal dumping as well as participating in our various programs the District offers. Each county has unique needs, so each deputy is not responsible for the same tasks. However, all District Deputies work with the District to monitor our public drop offs, investigate, and submit illegal dumping cases to the courts and participate in District sponsored events.
