Litter Collection Kit Loan Program

Program Description

The Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District has material kits designed for safe litter collection practices available for community organizations, non-profits and government offices hosting/sponsoring an event in Stark, Tuscarawas or Wayne County, Ohio.

The District is not responsible for collected materials. Participants are required to properly dispose of the collected materials.

There is no charge to borrow the kits. However, if kit items are significantly damaged, returned late or not returned, there will be a $50.00 fee. Litter collection kits will be reserved and loaned in the order requests are received.

Participants must wear Personal Protective Equipment when conducting collections including a safety vest, googles and gloves.

Participants in the Litter Collection Kit Program take part in the program activities at their own risk. The participants shall fully defend, indemnify, and hold the District harmless from any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage, or injury including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief, personal injury, and wrongful death arising out of any acts, omissions, negligence, or willful conduct of the participants’ personnel or volunteers in association with the Program.
